feeling inspired, and acting like a rambunctious little kid again, my 29 year old brother sat down to build a space lego moon base for his friend's birthday. what he created was a cooler version of the station depicted in this picture - well worth the oohhs and aahhs it received upon unwrapping.
i think it's great to give friends presents that have brought you joy as a little kid. one time, i gave a friend my most favourite care bear, and he really appreciated it. :o)
andy's space lego station inspired me to check out some other lego creations. the most impressive i could find was The Abston Church of Christ by Amy Hughes, followed closely by A. Lipson and Daniel Shiu's rendition of Escher's Ascending and Descending
i did find a lego porn site, but decided not to include it in this post. if you really want to find it, do some googling.

The Lego company employed some Swiss dude to make a new Lego product. He built a Nazi concentration camp out of Lego, complete with ravenous dogs, skeletal prisoners and barbed wire. Makes you think, don't it?
yeah - a friend sent me the link. it's pretty disturbing.
