the CutUp group

cutup is a group of mischievous artists who use interventionist strategies to comment on the colonisation of public space. what i find so interesting about the group, is that their work seems to reflect the principles of digital communication. by utilising the cut and paste function, they are able to overturn the notion of ownership or property, thus reclaiming urban space as a collective experience.
