The Institute for Applied Autonomy has been conducting some interesting research. their basic premise is that big brother has curbed society's willingness to partake in subversive activities by introducing surveillance systems, networked databases etc. with that in mind, they've launched GraffitiWriter, a portable robotic device that detaches the perpetrator from his or her 'act' by operating beyond the line of site (blos).
