i fell in love with the internet because it was so very different from television. distributed narrative, generative art, interface experimentation and flash animation excited me on a daily basis. now i find that much of this investment in newness has been replaced by multichannels of boring televisual crap. take this, for example:

this is not good. it's not interesting, it's not subversive or innovative. it's not challenging us in any way.
YouTube is an excellent feature of the net, but i'm worried that it's making people lazy and stupid. what has become of the techno-avant-garde? i remember a time when my mouse did a lot more than press play.
so i'm going looking for the art. if you have any suggestions, send em in. or better yet, save to quicktime and send to YouTube, that way everyone else will see em too.
