i found this app a while back, but hadn't been back to explore its functionality since. its one of the many google maps mashups out there. this one's cool tho, because it lets you upload any image you like, adding markers and comments as you go.
i don't have the time or patience to create my own map now. however, i can think of many things an app such as this could be used for. take this image for example. some scary fan has created a geographical study of Lost, which they've then made into a zoomable google map. fan culture, eh? where would we be without it?
