i'll never forget that scene from bladerunner, where harrison ford zoomed in on a picture to reveal something originally out of shot. it seemed so feasible to me at that time, and so exciting.
that's why i love this gigapixel stuff - i don't think it'll be long till we can unpeel the multiple layers of a photograph. exciting times!
